SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE TERMS USED IN THE HF RADIO PROPAGATION REPORT. The following is extracted from the longer text. A letter/number scheme is used to describe the observed/forecast propagation conditions within each area (block) of the grid. The literal part is a general description of propagation quality within the area during the previous 6 hours, using the following terms: W = Poor, U = Fair, N = Normal. The numerical indicator is a prediction of general propagation quality expected within the area for the next 6 hours, using the following terms: 1 = Useless 2 = Very Poor 3 = Poor 4 = Poor to Fair 5 = Fair 6 = Fair to Good 7 = Good 8 = Very Good 9 = Excellent
