Yasser Arafat was making a state visit to the United States when news of the latest White House sex scandal broke. President Clinton tried hard to maintain a business-as-usual attitude, but with stories breaking almost hourly about allegations that he had had oral sex with a young intern in a room next to the Oval Office it was almost impossible. Finally, as the visit came to an end and the two men sat for a photo opportunity, Arafat leaned over to Clinton and whispered:
"Sheep don't talk."
